ReStreaming: ReTweeting for Blogs

Here at ReachBy, we’re tremendously excited to announce a new feature.

Visit any post and you’ll see an orange ReStream button. Clicking that ReStream button lets you repost that blog post to your ReachBy Stream. We are looking forward to your feedback.

Good Posts Get More Exposure

ReStreaming is different from the sorts of buttons and widgets that let you post a link (to that page) on your Twitter or Facebook accounts. Of course, you can still do that with our built-in social icons — and we hope you do.

What ReStreaming does differently is that it actually lets you share someone else’s blog post on your own Stream. It’s the ReachBy way of giving the post a good vote, a thumbs up, or retweet.

Why ReStream?

You can ReStream for the same reasons you might retweet on Twitter, like something on Facebook, or bookmark a link — because you like it and think it’s cool, interesting, or useful. Since it literally only takes one click, it’s fast, too.

ReStreaming is a way to add to the content mix on your Stream and diversify it. Plus, by ReStreaming other people’s posts, you might make some new friends who will return the favor.

We think this makes Streams lively and more interactive than standard blogs.

Don’t Worry, It’s Still Your Post

If someone ReStreams your post, it doesn’t mean they are stealing your work.

ReStreaming adds the title, thumbnail image, and brief intro to the new Stream. When someone clicks on the link to read the post, they will land on your original, full-length post on your Stream.

So don’t worry, if your post is worthy of ReStreaming, you still get all the glory with your Stream name in the link. If you put ads on your Stream, you will benefit from traffic directed to your page when someone clicks on a ReStreamed link.

ReStreaming only helps to get the word out. It’s a way to share.

Give It a Try

Please let us know what you think of ReStreaming and what we can do to make it better. We want to hear your feedback.

Of course, ReStreaming only works if you have a Stream. If you don’t, you can sign up now. It’s quick and easy.
